Hudson Byblow is an author, speaker, and consultant who presents in a captivating and personalized manner, unifying audiences of all types and ages. As a professional educator and long-time sports official, his teaching/presentation skills have developed alongside the skills of disarmament and conflict management. This has helped him excel in meeting audience members where they are at – even within potentially hostile environments.

In terms of speaking/presenting, his primary focus is on building relationships with listeners, in which people may become open to further discussion. It is within those relationships that he is able to effectively walk with others into a deepening understanding of some of the most difficult topics facing our Church today. Often using elements of his personal testimony, he draws people towards tenets of truth that they already accept and then invites them to apply them to matters of faith. In doing so, audiences are often brought to embrace those truths as their own.

For the reasons listed above, in addition to the joy in which he shares his own testimony (available in full and in abbreviated form through Lighthouse Catholic Media), Hudson is increasingly sought out as a speaker and consultant to help address some of the most difficult topics facing the Catholic Church today. Hudson is a regular conference speaker and has served as a consultant for Catholic Answers, Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO), LifeTeen, school boards, college missionary groups, and clergy. He also regularly consults for other professional speakers, professors, and organizations.

Most notably, Hudson served as consultant to Christopher West for the 2018 edition of his best selling book Good News About Sex & Marriage. He was recently consulted for a document produced by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), and featured in “YOU: Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body” with Ascension Press. Earlier, he served as a consultant for part of the book entitled “If You Really Loved Me” by Jason Evert and was consulted in the production of God’s Plan for Sexuality: Homosexuality and The Teaching of the Catholic Church by Professor Janet E. Smith, Father Michael J. McGivney Chair of Life Ethics at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. Hudson has also been interviewed on Catholic Answers Live and more recently on The Patrick Coffin Show, among several other radio shows and podcasts. His most recent talk on the latter topic, entitled Wrestling with Singleness: Expectations and Joy, was delivered at the 2018 National Catholic Singles Conference.

Hudson is also a member of Courage International (since 2008) and joyfully advances the message of virtue and spiritual fatherhood/motherhood for all persons as a primary objective. In addition, Hudson has written for, Chastity Project, National Catholic Register, The Cor Project, The Porn Effect, CRISIS MagazineLifeTeen, and Catholic World Report, among several others organizations. He has also written as a silent co-author for Catholic Digest and St. Paul Street Evangelization, where two of his other previous pamphlets have also been made available for download. Some of Hudson’s prior works have been utilized in ministry efforts in Canada, USA, the Philippines, India, Australia, France, Brazil, and South Africa, among other countries. For Schools
Hudson also addresses topics such as personal development, building healthy relationships, setting healthy boundaries, finding hope amidst suffering, and strategies to reduce and prevent bullying. He crafts these talks to be easily accessible by students of all ages, packaging concepts in a way that is easy to digest, which allows for young people to come to embrace greater truths on their own accord.

Through sharing elements of his personal story, his mission is to help young people know that their value and self-worth through a lens that will help them make more stable decisions in life and which may elevate them beyond settling for less.

And as a sexual abuse survivor himself, he addresses: the struggle for self-worth, isolation due to fear and anxiety, healthy boundaries, building and rebuilding friendship, overcoming negative behavioral patterns, and moving from trauma to healing. Overall, his hope is that students will be able to discover and re-discover their true value and worth as a person through a new lens, such that the joy of a transformed life may serve as an inspiration for young people to remember that the next chapter of their life is one that is still theirs to write.
